Stuart Earl (Rillington PlacePersuasionAnd Then There Were None, The Accident, Angela BlackOrdeal by Innocence) is set to score the upcoming romantic drama Unicorns. The film is directed by Sally El Hosaini (The Swimmers) & James Krishna Floyd and stars Jason Patel and Ben Hardy. The movie is set against a secretive London subculture and follows a queer performer living a double life and a single father working as a mechanic whose lives collide after a chance encounter. Floyd also wrote the screenplay. Bill Pohlad (12 Years a Slave, Wild) is producing the River Road production with Maven Screen Media’s Trudie Styler (Freak Show, Moon) and Celine Rattray (The Kids Are Alright, Bernie), Chromatic Aberration’s Philip Herd (My Policeman, Archive), as well as Kim Roth (Mudbound, Tower Heist) and Christa Workman. Stephen Daldry (The Hours, Billy Elliot) serves as an executive producer. Earl has previously scored El Hosaini’s 2012 feature My Brother the Devil. Unicorns is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year. (Deadline)
