Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, The Long Call, Anne, The Halcyon, Home Fires) has composed the original music for the new BBC series Better. The show is created by Jonathan Brackley & Sam Vincent (Humans, MI-5) and stars Leila Farzad, Andrew Buchan, Samuel Edward-Cook, Zak Ford-Williams, Olivia Nakintu, Anton Lesser, Lucy Black and Ceallach Spellmam. The 5-part thriller followss a corrupt police detective who undergoes a painful moral awakening and decides to put right 20 years of wrongdoing. Brackley & Vincent are also producing the SISTER production with Chris Fry (Landscapers, Cleaning Up), Lucy Dyke (The Split) and Jane Featherstone (Chernobyl, Broadchurch), as well as Mona Qureshi (The English, Call the Midwife) and Nawfal Faizullah (Red Rose) for the BBC. Better is premiering in the UK today on BBC One.
Sim also continues to score the Sky Atlantic/Epix series Domina, which has been renewed for a second season, as well as ITV’s The Bay, which will return for a fourth season this year.
