Germaine Franco has won her first Grammy Award for her score for Disney’s animated feature Encanto in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category at today’s 65th Annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles. She previously received an Academy Award nomination for her work on the film. Lin-Manuel Miranda received the Grammy for the movie’s original song We Don’t Talk About Bruno in the Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media category. Encanto was also the winner in the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Visual Media category. The album was released by Walt Disney Records.
In addition, film/TV and game composer Stephanie Economou won her first Grammy Award for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok in the new Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media category.
