Composer Philippe Rombi (Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion, War of the Buttons, The Time of Secrets, Black Box, Team Spirit) is reteaming with director Francois Ozon on the upcoming French period mystery comedy drama The Crime Is Mine (Mon crime). The film is written and directed by Ozon (Summer of 85, Peter Van Kant, By the Grace of God) and stars Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Rebecca Marder, Isabelle Huppert, Dany Boon, Fabrice Luchini and André Dussollier. The movie inspired by the 1934 play by Georges Berr & Louis Verneuil is set in 1930s Paris and follows a pretty, young, penniless and talentless actress who is accused of murdering a famous producer and – after she is acquitted on the grounds of self-defense – becomes a star. Eric & Nicolas Altmayer (OSS 117, Chocolat) are producing the project for Mandarin Cinema. Rombi has previously collaborated with Ozon on such features as Swimming Pool, Potiche, In the HouseYoung & Beautiful, Double Lover and Angel. The Crime Is Mine will be released in French theaters on March 8, 2023.
