Amelia Warner (Mary Shelley, Mr. Malcolm’s List, Wild Mountain Thyme, Mum’s List) is currently recording her score for the upcoming biographical drama Young Woman and the Sea. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Kon-Toki, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) and stars Daisy Ridley, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Christopher Eccleston and Stephen Graham. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Glenn Stout and chronicles the journey of Gertrude “Trudy” Ederle , the first woman to ever swim across the English Channel in 1926. Jeff Nathanson (Catch Me if You Can, The Terminal) wrote the screenplay. Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun: Maverick, Pirates of the Caribbean, Armageddon) is producing the project with Chad Oman (Secret Headquarters). Young Woman and the Sea is expected to premiere this year on Disney+.
