Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Right Stuff, Before I Fall, Meadowland) has composed the original score for the upcoming documentary Beyond Utopia. The film is directed by Madeleine Gavin (City of Joy) and takes a look at the lengths people will go to gain freedom. The movie follows various individuals as they attempt to flee one of the most oppressive places on Earth, a land they grew up believing was a paradise. Jana Edelbaum & Rachel Cohen (The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, Dirty Girl) and Sue Mi Terry are producing the project. Taylor has previously scored the narrative feature I Think We’re Alone Now, which was edited by Gavin. Beyond Utopia will premiere this month at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
Taylor also continues to score Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, which will return for a sixth and final season.
