Julian Scherle (Heart of the Champions, Buried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche, Princess of the Row, Let’s Be Evil) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Missing. The film is directed by Will Merrick & Nick Johnson and stars Storm Reid, Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Daniel Henney, Amy Landecker and Nia Long. The sequel to 2018’s Searching (scored by Torin Borrowdale) follows a teenager who creatively uses all the latest technology at her fingertips when her mother disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend. Merrick & Johnson also wrote the screenplay based on a story by Sev Ohanian & Aneesh Chaganty (Run) who are producing the project with Natalie Qasabian. Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) is among the executive producers. Missing will be released in theaters nationwide on January 20, 2023 by Sony Pictures.
