Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead, John Wick, X) is the composer and Joanne Higginbottom (Primal, The Public, Samurai Jack) is the co-composer of the new Paramount+ original series Criminal Minds: Evolution. The revival of CBS’ original Criminal Minds series, which ran between 2005 and 2020, stars Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, Paget Brewster and Zach Gilford. The show follows FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers as they come up against their greatest threat yet, an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. Erica Messer serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the ABC Signature and CBS Studios production with Breen Frazier, Chris Barbour, Glenn Kershaw and Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, Grey’s Anatomy). The original Criminal Minds series was scored by Marc & Steffan Fantini and Scott Gordon, as well as Mark Mancina (who was involved in the first couple of seasons). Criminal Minds: Evolution will premiere this Thursday, November 24 on Paramount+.
