Alex Baranowski (The Windmere Children, A Perfect Enemy, A Christmas Carol, Staged) has composed the original music for the upcoming British thriller Burial. The film is written and directed by Ben Parker (The Chamber) and stars Charlotte Vega, Tom Felton, Harriet Walter, Barry Ward, Bil Milner and Dan Skinner. The movie is set in the last days of World War II and follows a small band of Russian soldiers who is tasked with trafficking the remains of Hitler back to Stalin in Russia. Matthew James Wilkinson (Yesterday, Amulet), Paul Higgins (Hangar 10) and Hugh Spearing are producing the Altitude Film Entertainment production. Burial is expected to premiere this year.
Baranowski’s other recent projects include Harry Wootliff’s True Things, which premiered at last year’s Venice and Toronto Film Festivals, and has been picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films for a domestic release this year. The composer also has the British comedy A Gaza Weekend directed by Basil Khalil and starring Stephen Mangan, Chris Reilly, Maria Zreik & Adam Bakri coming up.
