Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring the world premiere of two early scores composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Poltergeist, Planet of the Apes, L.A. Confidential, The Mummy, Chinatown, Papillon): the 1957 western (and the composer’s first theatrical feature) Black Patch directed by Allen Miner and starring George Montgomery, Leo Gordon, Sebastien Cabot, Diane Brewster, as well as the 1972 drama The Man directed by Joseph Sargent and starring James Earl Jones. Both scores have been newly recorded with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra led by William T. Stromberg.
