Hans Zimmer has received his third Golden Globe in the Original Score category for his score for Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic Dune at tonight’s 79th Golden Globe Awards ceremony. He previously his first two Golden Globes for 1994’s The Lion King and 2000’s Gladiator and was honored with multiple other nominations over the last three decades. The other composers nominated in the score category were Alexandre Desplat (The French Dispatch), Germaine Franco (Encanto), Jonny Greenwood (The Power of the Dog) and Alberto Iglesias (Parallel Mother). In the Original Song category, Billie Eilish & Finneas won the award for the title song from Cary Fukunaga’s James Bond film No Time to Die.
