Silva Screen Records has released the first officially sanctioned soundtrack album for the 1974 romance thriller The Tamarind Seed written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring Julie Andrews, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quayle, Dan O’Herlihy, Sylvia Syms and Oskar Homolka. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, GoldfingerBody HeatThe Man with the Golden Gun, Somewhere in Time, Octopussy), as well as Wilma Reading’s commercially released single Play It Again, two different versions of The End performed by Danny Street, plus different versions of both main and end title themes. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is available to order on Amazon. The Tamarind Seed is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
