Roque Banos (The Machinist, Evil Dead, In the Heart of the Sea, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Sexy Beast, Come Play) is returning as the composer of the upcoming horror sequel Don’t Breathe 2. The film is directed by Rodo Sayagues (who co-wrote and co-produced the original 2016 film) and stars Stephen Lang who reprises his role a Norman Nordstrom. The movie is set in the years following the initial deadly home invasion, where Nordstrom lives in quiet solace until his past sins catch up to him. Sayagues also co-wrote the screenplay with Fede Alvarez who helmed the original film. Alvarez is also producing the Ghost House Pictures and Stage 6 Films production with Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Army of Darkness). Banos’ score from the first film has been released by Lakeshore Records. Don’t Breathe 2 is set to be released in theaters nationwide on August 13, 2021 by Sony Pictures.
