Singer/songwriters Marlon Williams & Mark Perkins (aka Merk) are co-scoring the upcoming New Zealand comedy Juniper. The film is written and directed by Matthew J. Saville and stars Charlotte Rampling, Marton Csokas and George Ferrier. The movie revolves around a self-destructive teenager who gets suspended from school and whose life turns around when he is asked to look after his feisty alcoholic grandmother as a punishment. Desray Armstrong (Stray, Coming Home in the Dark) and Angela Littlejohn are producing the film, which marks both composers’ first feature film scoring assignment. Juniper is expected to be released in New Zealand/Australia and other markets later this year.
