Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Peter Rabbit, Free Birds, Money Monster) is scoring the upcoming Disney+ original series Monsters at Work. The show is developed by Bobs Gannaway (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Lilo & Stitch: The Series) based on Pixar’s feature Monsters, Inc (scored by Randy Newman) and stars Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Jennifer Tilly, John Ratzenberger & Bonnie Hunt who reprise their roles from the animated movie. They are joined by new voice cast members Ben Feldman, Henry Winkler, Mindy Kalling, Lucas Neff and Alanna Ubac. The animated series follows an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer, until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. Gannaway is also executive producing the Disney Television Animation production. Lewis has previously scored all episodes of the DuckTales reboot for the studio. Monsters at Work will premiere on July 2, 2021 exclusively on Disney+.
As previously reported, Lewis also has Matthew Vaughn’s The King’s Man (co-scored with Matthew Margeson) and Tanya Wexler’s action comedy Jolt coming up. The composer also scored Will Gluck’s Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, which is already playing in some foreign markets and will be released in U.S. theaters on June 18, 2021,
