Emile Mosseri (Minari, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Kajillionaire, Homecoming) has revealed in a recent interview with Next Best Picture that he is set to compose the music for actor Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut When You Finish Saving the World. The film is written and directed by Eisenberg and stars Julianne Moore, Finn Wolfhard, Alisha Boe and Billy Bryk. The comedy drama is based on Eisenberg’s Audible project of the same title, which was told from the perspective of three family members, at different stages of their lives. The movie adaptation is said to focus on the mother/son relationship. Moore is also producing the A24 production with Emma Stone and Dave McCary. When You Finish Saving the World just finished principal photography last month and is expected to premiere in late 2021 or early 2022.

Mosseri has recently received his first Academy Award nomination for his score for A24’s Minari, which is currently playing in theaters and is also available on VOD.
