Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Gone Girl, Mank), Leopold Ross (Triple 9, The Defiant Ones, Dispatches from Elsewhere) & Nick Chuba have composed the original score for the new Netflix original documentary Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal. The film is directed by Chris Smith (Fyre, Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond, Tiger King), written by Jon Karmen and examines the methods used by Rick Singer, the man at the center of the shocking 2019 college admissions scandal, to persuade his wealthy clients to cheat an educational system already designed to benefit the privileged. The movie uses innovative combination of interviews and narrative recreations of the FBI’s wiretapped conversations between Singer (portrayed by Matthew Modine) and his clients. Smith and Karmen are also producing the project with Youree Henley (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, The Lighthouse). Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal will premiere this coming Wednesday, March 17 exclusively on Netflix.
