The film’s original music is composed by Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, Dickinson, A-X-L, Animals, My Blind Brother, Good Girls). No word on a soundtrack release. Another movie opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the horror thriller Amulet written and directed by Romola Garai and starring Carla Juri, Alec Secareanu, Imelda Staunto and Angeliki Papoulia. Sarah Angliss has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie follows former soldier who is left homeless after an accident and takes refuge in the decaying home of a lonely young woman in desperate need of help as she cares for her ailing mother. The thriller premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed by Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet Releasing.
Also opening on VOD today is the thriller Most Wanted written and directed by Daniel Roby and starring Antoine Olivier Pilon, Josh Hartnett and Jim Gaffigan. The film’s original music is composed by Eloi Painchaud (Mesrine). No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which centers on an investigative reporter as he fights to expose the twisted truth behind a heroin bust orchestrated by dirty cops to frame an innocent man and sentencing him to life in a Thai prison, is being released in the U.S. by Saban Films.
Opening in select U.S. virtual theaters is the British comedy Fisherman’s Friends directed by Chris Foggin and starring Daniel Mays, James Purefoy, David Hayman, Dave Johns, Sam Swainsbury, Tuppence Middleton, Maggie Steed, Vahid Gold, Christian Brassington and Noel Clarke. Rupert Christie (SuperBob) has composed the film’s original score. Island Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie (click here for the full album details), as well as a separate soundtrack featuring Christie’s score (click here for more information). The comedy is being distributed in the U.S. by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
