Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the war drama The Outpost directed by Rod Lurie and starring Scott Eastwood, Orlando Bloom, Caleb Landry Jones, Kwame Patterson and Cory Hardrict. The film’s original music is composed by Larry Groupé (The Contender, Commander-in-Chief, Resurrecting the Champ, Nothing But the Truth, Straw Dogs). La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score later this month. Opening in select theaters before coming out on VOD next Friday, July 10, is the horror drama Relic co-written and directed by Natalie Erika James and starring Emily Mortimer, Robyn Nevin and Bella Heathcote. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Reitzell (Hannibal, Friday Night Lights, 30 Days of Night, Stranger Than Fiction, Beginners). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening theatrically and on VOD today is the documentary John Lewis: Good Trouble directed by Dawn Porter about U.S. Representative John Lewis’s life and legacy, from his more than 60 years of activism-from the bold teenager on the front lines of the Civil Rights’ movement to the legislative powerhouse he is today. Tamar-kali (Mudbound, Shirley, Come Sunday, The Assistant, The Last Thing He Wanted) has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release. The film’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, The Pale Horse, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic). No soundtrack album has been released.
