Hans Zimmer has composed the original music for the upcoming drama Harry Haft. The film is directed by Barry Levinson (Good Morning, Vietnam, Sleepers, Avalon) and stars Ben Foster, Vicky Krieps, Billy Magnussen, Peter Sarsgaard, Danny DeVito, Saro Emirrze, Dar Zuzovsky and John Leguizamo. The movie is based on the novel Harry Haft: Survivor of Auschwitz, Challenger of Rocky Marciano by Alan Scott Haft and tells the story of a boxer who survived Auschwitz by being forced to fight fellow prisoners in the concentration camps in ghoulish gladiatorial battles. Justine Juel Gillmer wrote the screenplay. Levinson is also producing the BRON Studios and New Mandate Films production with Aaron L. Gilbert (Bombshell, Tully), Matti Leshem (The Shallows), Jason Sosnoff (The Humbling) and Scott Pardo. Zimmer has previously collaborated with Levinson on Rain Man, Toys and An Everlasting Piece. Harry Haft is expected to premiere later this year. (Hans-Zimmer.com)
