Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Selah & the Spades. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aska Matsumiya (Skate Kitchen, 37 Seconds). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 17 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Selah & the Spades is written and directed by Tayarisha Poe and stars Lovie Simone, Celeste O’Connor, Jharrel Jerome, Gina Torres and Jesse Williams. The follows the leader of a faction of students called the Spades at a Pennsylvania boarding school as she walks the fine line between being feared and loved, often cutting loose whomever she deems a threat to her power. The drama premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime.
