Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for Pedro Almodovar’s new drama Pain & Glory (Dolor y Gloria). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner) who has previously scored most of the director’s movies over the last two decades. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is available to order on the label’s official website. Pain & Glory is written and directed by Almodovar and stars Antonio Banderas, Asier Etxeandía, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Nora Navas, Julieta Serrano, César Vicente, Asier Flores, as well as Penelope Cruz. The drama is being released in Spanish theaters this weekend and is expected to open in U.S. theaters later this year.
