Premiering tonight is the second season of the Starz original series American Gods based on Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel and starring Ian McShane, Ricky Whittle, Yetide Badaki, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, Dean Winters, Devery Jacobs, Sakina Jaffrey and Kahyun Kim. Also premiering tonight is the HBO docu-series The Case Against Adnan Syed directed by Amy Berg about the 1999 murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed. The show’s original music is composed by Dhani Harrison & Paul Hicks (Beautiful Creatures, Learning to Drive, The Divide, Outsiders). Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, March 11, is the British mini-series Manhunt written by Colin Sutton & Ed Whitmore, directed by Marc Evans and starring Martin Clunes, Katie Lyons, Claudie Blakley, Stephen Wight and Steffan Rhodri. Niall Byrne (In Darkness, Hatton Garden, Cairo Time) has composed the show’s original music. The 3-parter follows a London Metropolitan police detective as he tracks down a serial killer. Premiering on Friday, March 15, is the Netflix original series Turn Up Charlie created by Idris Elba & Gary Reich and starring Elba himself, Piper Perabo, JJ Feild and Frankie Hervey. James Lavelle (Trust) of the British music collective UNKLE is composing the show’s original score. Another Netflix original series premiering on Friday is the animated show Love, Death + Robots presented & executive produced by Tim Miller & David Fincher and featuring the voices of Topher Grace, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Gary Cole, among others. The show’s original music is composed by Rob Cairns (Dallas, The Forger, The Bachelor). Craig Wedren (Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models, The School of Rock, How to Be a Latin Lover) & Anna Waronker are composing the show’s original music. Also premiering on Friday in the U.S. is the French action thriller Burn Out directed by Yann Gozlan and starring François Civil, Manon Azem and Olivier Rabourdin. The film’s original music is composed by Grégoire Auger (Scribe). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in late 2017 when the movie opened overseas.
