The only new movie opening nationwide this week is the psychological thriller Escape Room directed by Adam Robitel and starring Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Deborah Ann Woll, Jay Ellis, Tyler Labine, Nik Dodani and Yorick van Wageningen. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Furious 7, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron) and John Carey. Opening in limited release is the indie thriller State Like Sleep written and directed by Meredith Danluck and starring Katherine Waterston, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Michiel Huisman and Mary Kay Place. David Wingo (Loving, Mud, Take Shelter, Barry) & Jeff McIlwain (Snow Angels, Joe, The Sitter) have composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Also opening in limited release is the thriller Rust Creek directed by Jen McGowan and starring Hermione Corfield, Jay Paulson, Micah Hauptman, Sean O’Bryan, Daniel R. Hill, John Marshall Jones and Jeremy Glazer. The film’s original music is composed by H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Cartel Land). No soundtrack album has been announced.
