Screenwriter Zack Stentz has announced that Bear McCreary is the composer of the upcoming sci-fi adventure Rim of the World. The film is directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) and stars Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr., Alessio Scalzotto, King Bach (aka Andrew Bachelor), Tony Cavalero, Rudy Mancuso, Carl McDowell, Chris Wylde, David Theune, Punam Patel, Michael Beach, Jason Rogel, Lynn Collins and Annabeth Gish. The movie centers around four misfit teenagers who become unlikely allies when their summer camp experience is cut short by an alien invasion. Stentz (Thor, X-Men: First Class) wrote the screenplay. McG is also producing the project with Mary Viola (I Feel Pretty, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) for their Wonderland Sound and Vision production company, alongside Circle of Confusion’s Susan Solomon and Matt Smith. Rim of the World is expected to premiere next year on Netflix.
McCreary’s other upcoming feature projects also include Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day 2U and The Professor and the Madman starring Mel Gibson & Sean Penn.
