James Seymour Brett (Cruseo, Lay the Favorite, Planet 51, Outpost) is currently recording his score for the upcoming drama Waiting for Anya. The film is directed by Ben Cookson (Almost Married) and stars Noah Schnapp, Jean Reno, Anjelica Huston, Thomas Kretschmann, Elsa Zylbertsein, Gilles Marini, Tomas Lemarquis, Josephine De La Baum and Sadie Frost. The movie based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel of the same title is set in Southern France during World War II and follows a young shepherd boy and his beloved grandfather who help save the lives of Jewish children as they crossed the Spanish border. Toby Torlesse wrote the screenplay. Phin Glynn (Mad to Be Normal) is producing the project for Bad Penny Productions, alongside Alan Latham (In Extremis, That Good Night) for Goldfinch Studios. Brett is recording his score with the London Metropolitan Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. Waiting for Anya is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2019.
