Cho Young Wuk (aka Yeong-wook Jo) & The Soundtrackings have composed the original music for the new BBC/AMC mini-series The Little Drummer Girl. The show is directed by Chan-woon Park (Stoker) and stars Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgård, Michael Shannon, Clare Holman, Kate Sumpter, Charles Dance, Simona Brown and Max Irons. The 6-parter thriller based on John le Carré’s best-selling novel of the same name is set in the late 1970s and follows a fiery actress and idealist whose resolve is tested after she meets a mysterious man while on holiday in Greece. Michael Lesslie & Claire Wilson adapted the material for the small screen. Park, Le Carre & Lesslie are also executive producing the project with Simon Cornwell (The Night Manager, A Most Wanted Man), Joseph Tsai, Arthur Wang and Wonjo Jeong (Snowpiercer). Cho Young Wuk has previously collaborated with Park numerous times, including on 2003’s Oldboy, 2005’s Lady Vengeance, 2009’s Thirst and 2016’s The Handmaiden. The Little Drummer Girl will premiere this Sunday, October 28 on BBC One in the UK and will debut in the U.S. on November 19 on AMC. Visit the official show website for more information.
