Mark Korven is attached to score Lone Scherfig’s next, currently untitled next feature, previously known as Secrets from the Russian Tea Room. The film is written and directed by Scherfig (An Education, One Day, Their Finest) and stars Andrea Riseborough, Tahar Rahim, Zoe Kazan, Bill Nighy, Caleb Landry Jones and Jay Baruchel. The movie takes place in the heart of New York City at an opulent Russian restaurant and tells the story of a group of people going through the worst crises of their lives.Malene Blenkov (Backstabbing For Beginners) is producing for Creative Alliance and Strada Films. The drama just started shooting last week in Toronto. No word yet on a release date. (Deadline)
Korven whose previous scoring credits include the 2016 hit movie The Witch and 1997’s Cube also has the drama Our House starring Thomas Mann & Nicola Peltz and the horror thriller Isabelle (previously entitled The Wanting) starring Adam Brody & Amanda Crew coming up. He is also scoring the upcoming drama The Swerve written and directed by Dean Kapsalis.
