Rob Simonsen has recently composed the music for the upcoming supernatural drama Fast Color. The film is directed by Julia Hart and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Lorraine Toussaint, Saniyya Sidney, Christopher Denham and David Strathairn. The movie revolves around a woman who is forced to go on the run when her extraordinary abilities are discovered. Hart also co-wrote the screenplay with Jordan Horowitz (La La Land, The Kids Are All Right) who is producing the project with Mickey Liddell (Jackie, The Grey, Go) and Pete Shilaimon (Megan Leavey, Risen). Simonsen has previously scored Hart’s directorial debut, Miss Stevens. Fast Color will premiere in March at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival.
Simonsen’s recent projects also include Greg Berlanti’s Love, Simon (to be released on March 16 by 20th Century Fox), Neil Burger’s The Upside starring Bryan Cranston & Kevin Hart and Jason Reitman’s Tully, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released on April 20 by Focus Features.
