The line-up for two film music-related panels at Comic-Con 2017 has been announced. On Friday, July 21, a number of film/Tv composers will participate in the 9th annual Behind the Music panel presented by CW3PR and Impact24 PR. Jeff Russo (Legion, Fargo), Sean Callery (Jessica Jones, 24), Kris Bowers (Dear White People), Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story), Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Runaways) and Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Riverdale) will be participating in a discussion moderated by actors Rachel Keller (Legion, Fargo) & Jeremie Harris (Legion,The Get Down). The composers will give insight on how they contribute to many of the most popular fantasy/fiction titles in the TV and film worlds. Behind the Music: Fantasy, Fiction and Fandom will take place at 1:00pm in Room 29AB.
On Thursday, July 20, actress Bree Turner (Grimm) and social media influencer SPLACK will moderate the panel Monsters, Mutants, and Mysteries: Sights and Sounds. The event will feature some of the top Composers, Music Producers, and VFX Artists/Animators who will discuss the inner-workings of your favorite films, TV shows, and video games. Participating composers include Jake Monaco (Be Cool, Scooby Doo, DinoTrux) and Michael A. Levine (Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Lego DC Superhero Girls: Brain Drain). They are joined by VFX Supervisor Derek Spears (Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead), cinematographer Matthew Jensen (Wonder Woman, Game of Thrones), production designer Gary Kordan (Ghosted, Key & Peele), as well as additional panelists/special guests to be announced later. The panel will take place at 11:00am in Room 29AB.
