Jamie Christopherson is reuniting with director Alex Ranarivelo on the upcoming action drama Ride. The film starring Shane Graham, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sasha Alexander, Ali Afshar, Bryan Craig, George Kosturos and Jessica Michelle is based on the inspiring true story of BMX champion John Buultjens, a young teen who is rescued when he is fostered by an unlikely interracial couple, including the foster father who wins the kid over when he buys him his first bicycle. Ranarivelo also co-wrote the screenplay with Hadeel Reda, Jean-Marie Sobeck and Jack Reher (Into the Grizzly Maze). Forrest Lucas and Ali Afshar are producing the project for ESX Entertainment. Christopherson has previously collaborated with the director on such films as Born to Race, American Wrestler: The Wizard and Running Wild. Ride is currently in post-production. No release date has been announced yet.
Christopherson also scored Ranarivelo’s drama Pray for Rain starring Jane Seymour, which will be released in theaters on June 16 by Vertical Entertainement, as well as the filmmaker’s upcoming drama Dirt starring Kevin Dillon and DeRon Horton, which follows a man who takes on a young car thief looking for a second chance.
