Antonio Sanchez is scoring the upcoming Epix original series Get Shorty. The show is created by Davey Holmes (Shameless) inspired by Elmore Leonard’s 1990 bestselling thriller comedy novel and stars Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, Sarah Stiles, Antwone Tanner and Carolyn Dodd. The series follows a hitman from Nevada who tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood as a means to leave his criminal past behind. Holmes is also executive producing the MGM Television production with Adam Arkin (“The Americans,” “Billions”) and Allen Coulter (The Sopranos, Remember Me) who also directed the first episode. Sanchez is best known for his Golden Globe- and Grammy-winning score for Alejandro Inarritu’s Birdman. Get Shorty will premiere later this year on Epix.
