Rhino Records will release a soundtrack album for Amazon Studios’ documentary Long Strange Trip. The album features a collection of songs by the film’s subject, the rock band Grateful Dead as featured in the movie. The soundtrack will be released on May 26, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Long Strange Trip is directed by Amir Bar-Lev (Trouble the Water, Happy Valley, The Tillman Story) and chronicles the rise of the Grateful Dead from their Bay Area roots to stadiums around the world. The documentary executive produced by Martin Scorsese premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on May 26 before premiering on Amazon Prime on June 2.
