Rolfe Kent has composed the music for the upcoming comedy The Philosophy of Phil. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Greg Kinnear who also stars in the movie alongside Emily Mortimer, Jay Duplass, Robert Forster, Taylor Schilling, Bradley Whitford and Luke Wilson. The movie follows a dentist who tries to take control of his life after a patient commits suicide. Stephen Mazur (Liar Liar, Heartbreakers) has written the screenplay. Aaron L Gilbert (The Birth of a Nation, A Single Shot) is producing the Bron Studios and Imperative Entertainment production with Sandy Stern (Being John Malkovich, Saved!) and Bradley Thomas (There’s Something About Mary, Me, Myself and Irene). The Philosophy of Phil is expected to premiere later this year.
Kent’s other upcoming projects also include the comedy Crash Pad starring Domhnall Gleeson, Christina Applegate, Thomas Haden Church & Nina Dobrev and the animated feature Rock Dog, which will be released on February 24 by Lionsgate/Summit Entertainment.
