Stephen Warbeck has signed on to score the upcoming British comedy The Time of Their Lives. The film is written and directed by Roger Goldby (The Waiting Room) and stars Joan Collins, Pauline Collins and Franco Nero. Academy Award-winning songwriter Tim Rice (The Lion King, Aladdin, Evita) will be providing an original song and also serves as an executive producer on the project. The movie follows a former Hollywood star who is on her way to crash her ex-husband’s funeral with a friend and becomes involved in a romantic triangle with a reclusive Italian painter. Sarah Sulick (Honeytrap) and Azim Bolkiah (Dark Places) are producing the Bright Pictures and Daryl Prince production. The Time of Their Lives is set to be released in the UK in early 2017. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal. (Variety)
Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Billy Elliott, Proof) also has the TNT event series Will coming up and also has scored Nick Hamm’s drama The Journey starring Timothy Spall & Colm Meaney, which will be released in the U.S. next year by IFC Films.
