Michael Brook has composed the score for the upcoming family drama Milton’s Secret. The film is directed by Barnet Bain and stars Donald Sutherland, Michelle Rodriguez, William Ainscough, David Sutcliffe, Mia Kirshner, Sheila McCarthy and Hays Wellford. The movie is based on the children’s novel of the same title by Eckhart Tolle & Robert Friedman and revolves around an eight-year-old who is bullied at school and his teacher who is trying to lift his spirits while his grandfather shows him the secret to finding true happiness. Bain has also co-written the screenplay with Donald Martin and Sara B. Cooper. Stephen Huszar, Ryan Lockwood, Sean Buckley and Fred Fuchs are producing the project. Milton’s Secret will be released in select theaters on September 30, 2016 by Momentum Pictures.
Brook’s recent projects also include the indie drama Tallulah starring Ellen Page, which just premiered on Netflix. He also scored Katie Holmes’ directorial debut All We Had, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is currently awaiting a distribution deal.
