Wait what just happened I thought Hans Zimmer was attached as well to Tarzan what happened?and RGW is the only composer
Hans-Zimmer.com lists Hans Zimmer as “music consultant” on this project.
My guess: Things went well between the director and the composer so there was no need for Hans Zimmer to come to the rescue.
My guess: Mario Grigorov started working on it, but the director/studio were not happy. Then Warner beg Hans Zimmer to help them, he told them to give the project to Rupert Gregson-Williams, and told them he would be there to advise/support/help him out. And that’s what he did 🙂
