Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1974 thriller Chinatown directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway and John Huston. The album features the film’s expanded and remastered original score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, Planet of the Apes, Patton), including previously unreleased music. The release features both a remastered reissue of the original 1974 soundtrack album, as well as the complete score. Goldsmith received an Academy Award nomination for his work on the film. The label has also announced a new soundtrack release for Disney’s 1996 family adventure Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Lost on Space, Rescuers Down Under), including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate cues. The label has previously released an expanded release for Broughton’s score for the first Homeward Bound movie.
