Airing tonight is the Fox television event Grease: LIVE! starring Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, Carlos PenaVega, Keke Palmer, Andrew Call, David Del Rio, Kether Donohue, Jordan Fisher and Boyz II Men. Republic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the special by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey, as well as two original tracks written by Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey and performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and DNCE and an original track written and performed by DNCE. Premiering on Tuesday, February 2, is the FX original series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson written by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski, executive produced by Ryan Murphy and starring Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, David Schwimmer, Courtney B. Vance, Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson and Bruce Greenwood. The show’s original music is composed by Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Scream Queens). Premiering on Wednesday, February 3, is the ABC mini-series Madoff directed by Raymond De Felitta and starring Richard Dreyfuss as Bernie Madoff, Blythe Danner as his wife Ruth, as well as Frank Whaley, Charles Grodin, Erin Cummings, Tom Lipinski, Lyne Renee and Lewis Black. Stephen Endelman (Flirting with Disaster, Evelyn, Home of the Brave) has composed the original music for the 2-parter. Premiering on Friday, February 5, is the HBO original series Animals created by Phil Matarese & Mike Luciano, executive produced by Mark & Jay Duplass and featuring the voices of Matarese & Luciano, as well as Katie Aselton, Nick Kroll and Rob Corddry. The show’s original music is composed by Julian Wass (Hit & Run, The Overnight, Other People, 6 Years). Premiering on Saturday, February 6, is the documentary Jim: The James Foley Story directed by Brian Oakes about the life and work of American journalist James Foley, who was killed by ISIS terrorists in 2014. Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Digging for Fire) has composed the film’s original score. J. Ralph (Racing Extinction, Chasing Ice) has contributed the original song The Empty Chair performed by Sting.
