Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the Japanese 1992 drama The Setting Sun directed by Rou Tomono and starring Masaya Kato, Diane Lane and Yuen Biao. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner composer Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Doctor Zhivago, Witness, Good Morning Vietnam). The score was recorded at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples.
The label has also announced the world premiere soundtrack release for Walt Disney Pictures’ 1979 comedy Unidentified Flying Oddball directed by Russ Mayberry and starring Dennis Dugan, Jim Dale, Ron Moody and Kenneth More. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Ron Goodwin (Where Eagles Dare, Frenzy, Battle of Britain, Candleshoe), including music that was not featured in the final version of the movie.
