burntRob Simonsen has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Burnt. The film is directed by John Wells (August: Osage CountyThe Company Men) and stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Bruhl, Matthew Rhys, Lily James, Alicia Vikander, Sam Keeley, Uma Thurman and Emma Thompson. The movie, which was originally entitled Adam Jones, follows a chef in Paris who only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste and wants to obtain the Michelin three-star rating. Steven Knight (Eastern PromisesLockeThe Hundred-Foot Journey) has written the screenplay based on a story by Michael Kalesniko (Private Parts). Wells is also producing the project with Stacy Sher (Django UnchainedGet ShortyOut of Sight) and Erwin Stoff (Edge of TomorrowUnbrokenConstantine). Burnt is set to premiere on October 23, 2015 by the Weinstein Company.

As previously reported, Simonsen has also scored Roland Emmerich’s Stonewall starring Jeremy Irvine and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The drama will be released on September 25, 2015 by Roadside Attractions. Check out the film’s first trailer below.
