Gast Waltzing is composing the music for the upcoming drama Sunset Song. The film is written and directed by Terence Davies (The Deep Blue Sea, The House of Mirth) and stars Agyness Deyn, Peter Mullan and Kevin Guthrie. The movie is based on the classic novel by Lewis Grassic Gibbon and follows a farming family struggling to eke out a living in northeast Scotland. Sol Papadopoulos, Roy Boulter, Nicolas Steil are producing the project. Waltzing’s previous film scoring credits include Hysteria starring Maggie Gyllenhaal & Hugh Dancy and JCVD starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Sunset Song is set to premiere next month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
