On Saturday, April 25, the 16th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival will host The Art of Music in Visual Media panel during the festival’s Seminar Series. The participating composers include Marco Beltrami (Fantastic Four, World War Z, 3:10 to Yuma, The Wolverine), Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, Watchmen, John Wick, Dawn of the Dead), Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass 2, Scouts vs. Zombies), Ryan Shore (Prime, Numb, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever) and Jason T. Miller (The Odd Couple, ‘Til Death, Out of Practice). Jon Burlingame is moderating the panel, which will feature the composers sharing their insights on what it takes to develop their scores and elevate their stories.
