Evgueni and Sacha Galperine are currently composing the music for the upcoming thriller The Whole Truth. The film is directed by Courtney Hunt (Frozen River) and stars Keanu Reeves, Renee Zellweger, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jim Belushi and Gabriel Basso. The movie follows a defense attorney who fights to get his teenage client acquitted of murdering his wealthy father. Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Kazan (Reversal of Fortune, Matilda, Bicentennial Man) has penned the screenplay. Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Foxcatcher, Begin Again) is producing the project for Likely Story, alongside Kevin Frakes (Laggies) for PalmStar Entertainment. The Whole Truth is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
Sacha and Evgueni Galperine whose previous scoring credits include Luc Besson’s The Family and Asghar Farhadi’s The Past have also scored the drama Madame Bovary directed by Sophie Bartes and starring Mia Wasikowska, Laura Carmichael, Ezra Miller, Paul Giamatti, Rhys Ifans, Logan Marshall-Green and Henry Lloyd-Hughes. The film based on Gustave Flaubert’s classic novel follows a disgruntled provincial wife yearning to breathe free. The movie premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and was recently picked up by Millennium Entertainment for a domestic release later in 2015. The composers’ other upcoming projects also include the French drama La résistance de l’air directed by Fred Grivois and Reda Kateb, Ludivine Sagnier and Johan Heidenbergh.
