Premiering tonight is the musical comedy Galavant created by Dan Fogelman and starring Joshua Sasse, Mallory Jansen, Karen David, Timothy Omundson, Vinnie Jones and Luke Youngblood. The show features original songs written by Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) and Glenn Slater. The series’ underscore is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Ride Along, Revolution, Supernatural). Hollywood Reords has already released three songs from the comedy. Premiering on Tuesday, January 6, is Marvel Studio’s & ABC’s new series Agent Carter created by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and starring Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray. Christopher Lennertz (Identity Thief, Horrible Bosses, Hop) who previously scored the Marvel One-Shot short film of the same title is composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, January 7, is the Fox drama Empire created by Lee Daniels & Danny Strong, produced by Brian Grazer and starring Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Gabourey Sidibe, Bryshere Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Malik Yoba, Grace Gealey and Kaitlin Dubleday. The show’s original music is composed by Fil Eisler (Revenge, Shameless, Kitchen Sink). Also premiering on Wednesday is the VH1 original series Hindsight created by Emily Fox and starring Laura Ramsey, Sarah Goldberg, Craig Horner, Nick Clifford, Jessy Hodges, John Patrick Amedori and Drew Sidora. Stephen Endelman (Home of the Brave, Chasing Life, The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain) is composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Thursday, January 8, is the Sundance TV original series Babylon created by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, produced by Danny Boyle and starring Brit Marling and James Nesbitt. The show’s original music is composed by Underworld’s Rick Smith who previously scored Boyle’s Trance and collaborated with the Academy Award-winning director on other projects. Babylon follows an earnest executive who attempts to modernize the culture only to discover her certainties shattered and herself undermined in the realpolitik of contemporary policing.
