Max Richter will be performing selections from his music for the HBO hit show The Leftovers live in concert. The event will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at The Bowery Ballroom in New York. The concert will also feature music from the composer’s latest solo album The Blue Notebooks. Click here for more information about the event and to buy tickets. In related news, Richter is also preparing a soundtrack album for the show created by Damon Lindelof & Tom Perrotta and starring Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler and Ann Dowd. The full album details will be posted on this page as they are announced. The composer will also return to score the second season of the series, which is set to debut next year.
Richter’s upcoming scoring projects also include the romantic thriller Escobar: Paradise Lost starring Josh Hutcherson and Benicio Del Toro. The film premiered last month at the Toronto Film Festival and is set to be released on January 16, 2015 by Radius-TWC. The composer also composed the music for the historical drama Testament of Youth starring Alicia Vikander, Kit Harrington, Dominic West & Emily Watson, which recently premiered at the London Film Festival.
