Premiering tonight is the new Fox comedy Mulaney produced by Lorne Michaels (30 Rock) and created by John Mulaney who also stars in the series alongside Seaton Smith, Nasim Pedrad, Martin Short, Elliott Gould and Zack Pearlman. The show’s original score is composed by Matter Music (The New Adventures of Old Christine, Better with You, Friend with Benefits). Premiering on Tuesday, October 7, is the new CW superhero drama The Flash based on the DC Comic and starring Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Tom Kavanagh, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett and Carlos Valdes. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Mentalist, Resurrection, The Pacific, Life as We Know It) who is also scoring the network’s Arrow, which is returning for a third season. Premiering on Friday, October 10, is the new ABC comedy Cristela created by Kevin Hench and starring stand-up comedienne Cristela Alonzo, Carlos Ponce, Terri Hoyos, Andrew Leeds, Sam McMurray. John Swihart has also taken over scoring duties on the Fox dramedy Red Band Society with this past week’s third episode. The show is created by Margaret Nagle (The Good Lie, Warm Springs) and stars Octavia Spencer, Dave Annable, Griffin Gluck, Nolan Sotillo, Charlie Rowe and Brian Bradley. The comedy drama is set in a hospital’s pediatric ward and follows a group of teenagers who become unlikely friends. Missing from last week’s roundup was the new NBC comedy Bad Judge created by Chad Kultgen (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone) & Anne Heche, executive produced by Will Ferrell & Adam McKay (Talladega Nights, Anchorman) and starring Kate Walsh, Tone Bell, Ryan Hansen, John Ducey and Miguel Sandoval. Singer/songwriter Wayne Kramer who previously scored Eastbound & Down for the producers is scoring the show. Bad Judge follows one of L.A.’s toughest and most respected criminal court judges who also knows how to have a good time. The comedy premiered on October 1 and will air every Thursday night on NBC.
