We all know Hans Zimmer is God so it’s already a wrap
ZIMMER!!!
I liked Zimmer’s work in MOS & Rush, but the 2 trax i heard in 12 years a slave is just so boring ! a pure rehash of his Inception’s Time ! Din expect that even 12 years being a drama ! To me, among the nominee i prefer Desplat or Williams (haven’t heard HER & MITTY)
I find it a bit ridiculous that Hans Zimmer gets nominated for such a little score, where all he was asked to do was to rip-off one of his own themes. Seems like this category is just a bonus for movies that were already nominated in “superior” categories. Zimmer’s Rush was way better.
Anyway i believe Steven Price will win a lot of prizes this year.
Let’s see what happens with the more serious awards, the Academy hasn’t done a bad job recently of excluding scores that are just not worthy. Agree that Rush would be much more deserving and something tells me Zimmer himself thinks the same.
