Jeff Russo and Ben Decter are scoring the upcoming serialized CBS drama Hostages. The show is created by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor, writer of The Day After Tomorrow) and stars Toni Collette as a premiere surgeon who is thrust into a chilling political conspiracy when her family is taken hostage by rogue FBI Agent, played by Dylan McDermott, who orders her to assassinate the President when she operates on him. Tate Donovan, Rhys Coiro, Billy Brown, Sandrine Holt, James Naughton, Quinn Shephard and Mateus Ward are co-starring. Nachmanoff has also directed the pilot episode and is executive producing the Warner Bros Television production with Jerry Bruckheimer & Jonathan Littman (CSI, Without a Trace), Omri Givon, Rotem Shamir and Chayim Sharir. Hostages is set to premiere on September 23, 2013 and will air every Monday night on CBS. For updates on the drama, visit the official show website.
Russo has also recently finished scoring the third season of USA’s Necessary Roughness. Also coming up for the composer is the indie drama Free Ride starring Anna Paquin. Decter’s best known previous scoring credits include the CBS drama Silk Stalkings and the documentary We Live in Public.
