Mason Daring is reuniting with director John Sayles on the upcoming indie drama Go for Sisters. The film stars Edward James Olmos, LisaGay Hamilton, Yolonda Ross, Harold Perrineau, Hector Elizondo and Isaiah Washington. The movie follows two friends who lose track of each other for twenty years and are reunited when one of them is assigned as the parole officer for the other, who is fresh out of prison and fighting heroin addiction. Sayles has also written the screenplay and Alejandro Springall, Peter Bobrow and Edward James Olmos are producing. Daring is Sayles’ regular composer and has scored such films as Lone Star, Passion Fish, Sunshine State and Silver City. His other film scoring credits include Wes Craven’s Music of the Heart, A Walk on the Moon and The Opposite of Sex. Go for Sisters is set to premiere at the SXSW Film Festival next month.
